We Believe the postpartum season can be a beautiful time of bonding and that a new mom needs and deserves support and care.

We Offer comprehensive midwife style postpartum care of the mom and baby. We assess vital signs; support breastfeeding; emotions; and the healing journey. We focus on preventative care so you can thrive. Care is done primary in a women’s home, in the Atlanta Metro Area.

Location Atlanta Postpartum services a large part of the metro Atlanta area, including Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and parts of several other counties. Please contact us to check if you are in our service area.

At Each Postpartum appointments the women is assessed for the following:

  • The woman’s vital signs: including her temperature, pulse, blood pressure, fundus, and bleeding. We rule out infection and other issues and support her healing.

  • Breastfeeding support is offered if desired and breast care is discussed. Newborns are assessed for tongue ties.

  • Emotional needs are discussed and practical suggestions given. We are not therapists and do not prescribe medicine but can recommend therapists when needed.

  • Nutrition and supplements are discussed specific for the moms needs.

  • Any questions are answered and we discuss what is normal for the woman and baby.

We also offer:
• Craniosacral therapy for mom and baby. This is light touch therapy that during the postpartum period helps restores musculoskeletal reintegration, emotional balance and pelvic health and helps alleviate the discomforts of newborn care and mothering. The mother can be treated while holding the baby or while the baby lies on the mother’s belly; the baby also receives treatment this way. Craniosacral therapy is even more effective for infants when the mother is simultaneously treated.

• Cold laser treatment to facilitate the healing of the pelvic floor area and mastitis by using wavelengths of light to assist the body’s healing process.

• Comprehensive pelvic floor check-up with mom at 6-8 weeks to assess healing.

• Planning session before birth to help you prepare for a physically and emotionally beautiful postpartum season
